Please state what curb zone you currently have and if you are looking to make changes to your existing zone or have it repainted. Staff will respond to your inquiry directly.

Zone Information

A non-refundable application fee is required for Driveway Red Zone, White and Green zone requests, Dual-Use and General Loading zones.



Blue zones are sited to provide access to public destinations for many people at a given location. Blue zones are not intended to provide parking for one person or a handful of people on a residential block. Applications for blue zones at private residences cannot be accepted.


If you are interested in a blue zone for a neighborhood/commercial district please send an email to ccp@sfmta.com and provide your name, phone number, email address and description of the area where you are interested in having a blue zone located.

Test

Driveway red zones are installed next to active driveways to provide additional clearance for vehicles accessing an off-street parking space. They are normally 2-foot long and installed on each side of the driveway, unless there are overriding circumstances. Application fee is due at the time of the application. Surveys are usually conducted within 30 days, paint fees are invoiced separately, after the survey is completed.

Government Agencies providing public services and non-profits that provide free services exclusively to seniors or people with disabilities are exempt from fees.
Fees - Driveway Red Zone 

The application fee is $411.00 and is due with the application for the red zone for both New and Repaint. 

Driveway Red Zones application fees are not required in areas with metered parking.

A non-refundable processing fee of $907.00 is required for white zones. If the proposed change is approved, an installation fee will also be required, and zones are required to be renewed every two years.
